A hard winter led to the boiler failing, causing several fires which damaged the buildings beyond repair. The residents of Kingdom relocated to Hilltop, Alexandria, and Oceanside. It was one of the few communities that was not rebuilt, along with the Sanctuary.
All four have become trusted members of the community and Laura even serves on its leadership council. However, when Alexandria takes in Jocelyn's Group, they betray the residents, kidnapping their children and raiding the community's supplies. A few days later, Negan arrives at Alexandria with over 30 Saviors and a captive Daryl, to pick up half of Alexandria's offerings. He meets Spencer at the gate, who was preparing to leave the safe zone with Rosita to scavenge for supplies. Rick meets Negan and notes that he came earlier than planned and opens the gate for him. Rick tells Negan that they already set aside half of their supplies, but Negan says he'll be the one to decide which supplies to take.

Microsoft’s acknowledgment of a mobile gaming push comes as the company increasingly positions Xbox Cloud Gaming as an option for mobile gaming on emerging handhelds. Microsoft was quick to support Xbox Cloud Gaming on Valve’s Steam Deck, followed by a partnership with Logitech and Razer for their cloud gaming-focused handhelds.

After seeing the state of her former home, Maggie comes to the conclusion that Pamela Milton had never actually intended to return it to the Coalition. Following the events at Riverbend and Lance's failed assassination attempt on Maggie, Daryl, Aaron and Gabriel, he has the Commonwealth Army take over Alexandria, hanging the Commonwealth's banner over the walls. After Lance's defeat, Pamela agrees to give the Coalition the supplies that they need to finish rebuilding as part of her deal with Carol and most everyone prepares to leave the Commonwealth to return to their communities. However, this is interrupted by the Founders' Day events and the death of Sebastian Milton.
During the trip, Denise tries to demonstrate her readiness to confront the word, but on the way back, she is shot through the eye with a crossbow bolt, killing her. A group of a dozen Saviors including a scarred Dwight swarm out of the woods, with Eugene as a hostage. Dwight, clutching Daryl's crossbow, demands access to Alexandria and their supplies as retribution for their previous actions. Eugene spots Abraham hiding nearby, and diverts one of the Saviors towards him, before biting Dwight in the crotch. This creates a distraction and allows Abraham, Daryl, and Rosita to fight back, killing most of the Saviors and driving the rest away.
The overall grade of the city's central, built-up areas is relatively consistent with the natural flatness of its overall natural geography, generally exhibiting only slight differentiation otherwise. That night, the Saviors kill some of the guards, open the gates, set fires and drive an armored car into the community, blaring loud music. As walkers begin to overrun the site and Gregory hides in the mansion, Maggie, Sasha and Jesus step up to deal with the problem. Sasha and Jesus get to work eliminating the zombies while Maggie takes charge, giving orders to the other residents before crushing the car with a tractor. In the morning, when a group of 30 Saviors led by Simon arrives at the Hilltop, Maggie and Sasha are forced to hide. Meanwhile, Gregory greets the Saviors and grovels at Simon, playing dumb when told about the attack on the outpost and the subsequent subjugation of Alexandria.
The West Side holds the Garfield Park Conservatory, one of the largest collections of tropical plants in any U.S. city. Prominent Latino cultural attractions found here include Humboldt Park's Institute of Puerto Rican Arts and Culture and the annual Puerto Rican People's Parade, as well as the National Museum of Mexican Art and St. Adalbert's Church in Pilsen. Republicans continue to prevail in the rural areas of northern and central Illinois, as well as southern Illinois outside of East St. Louis.
